"A friend, and wife of one of my husband's co-workers, had contacted Katie Zarpas to help her find a rental in Virginia Beach this past August. My husband suggested I go with them to get an idea of areas we might like, since we plan to move to Virginia Beach in June of next year. He had gone with Katie previously to look at some places in East Beach, Norfolk, and wanted me to see what I thought of that area and others.

I wanted to look only at condos, since we were hoping to downsize when we move, so we mostly focused on that. Katie was very good at asking a lot of questions to find out what I really liked and didn't like. She showed me condos in different areas of VA Beach close to the water. She also showed me condos in East Beach and said she had to show me one of the cottages that was for sale, but not on the market yet. She had shown it to my husband earlier and he really liked it. She said that as soon as the house went on the market it would sell quickly because it was in perfect shape didn't look lived in despite someone living there two years. She questioned the East Beach sales agent about things that I wouldn't have thought to ask. Very helpful!

That was that I fell in love with the house and Katie gave me names of people to talk to about financing. She called them, as well, and I got phone calls from them within a few hours. She set about getting a contract for us to sign and helped us formulate an offer. Each time I spoke with her she seemed so excited you would think she was the one buying the house! She suggested a settlement agent, and was extremely helpful, as was her assistant, Rose, throughout the entire buying process. Her quick responses to our questions and knowledge of her business gave us confidence that our settlement process would run smoothly, which it did. We had a couple of glitches, but each was solved quite easily, with Katie always positive and reassuring.

I would definitely recommend Katie Zarpas to anyone looking for a real estate agent in the Virginia Beach area. She is very efficient, and bursts with enthusiasm when talking about houses and the area. It's very obvious she loves where she lives and in my mind is perfectly suited for selling real estate.
