Christmas is almost here, and you might be wondering how you’re going to keep your little ones amused while school is out. Don’t worry – I’ve got you covered. Here’s my guide to Holiday Fun in Virginia Beach.
Holiday Fun in Virginia Beach
Virginia Beach has something for everyone – especially kids and families. I’ve scoured the internet to create this list of activities that are family friendly with a dash of holiday cheer.
Holiday Lights at the Beach – Drive the Enchanted Seaside Mile! Every year for a few weeks only, drive along the Boardwalk at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront to see a special holiday lights display.
Eat Breakfast with Santa – Santa likes pancakes, and you will too! Enjoy a family friendly holiday breakfast at the Virginia Beach Farmer’s Market at Dam Neck.
Hunt Club Farm petting zoo – The only petting zoo in Virginia Beach! There are goats, llamas, ponies, chickens, pigs, sheep, turkeys, donkeys, peacocks… we could go on and on. Pony rides are usually available, and on cold days they may serve cider and hot chocolate. Also the site of their Winter Market with fresh Fraser Fir trees and handmade wreaths.
Holiday Parade at the Beach – Watch 80+ floats cruise down Atlantic Avenue. Balloons, marching bands and horses, oh my!
Iceland ice skating center – Learn how to ice skate, join a hockey league, or just have fun during the free skate
Libraries – The Virginia Beach Public Library system offers all kinds of story times and classes throughout the year. In the fall, why not join one of their Crafternoons and make something for Grandma?
Horseback riding at 26th Street – Take a horseback ride along the ocean! Rides are available from 26th Street south to the pier and back.
See the Nutcracker – why not see the holiday classic at the Sandler Center? Presented by a live orchestra and Ballet Virginia International.
Not in Virginia Beach, but still worth checking out.
