Hampton Roads is filled with beaches.  Most of our cities have a beach.  Go swimming, surfing, strolling or just hang out and get a tan.  In the summer, Hampton Roads is filled with free festivals and concerts at our beaches.  Here are the best beaches to try:

There are lots of opportunities for family fun in Hampton Roads.  We have tons of activities, museums, and destinations for all ages to enjoy.


For those of you who love the thrill of live sports, here is some competitive fun in Hampton Roads:


Hampton Roads is an excellent place for boating and fishing.  There are public piers and boat launches for fishing, or you can go on a charter boat for deep sea fishing.  We also offer lots of whale watching tours and tallship tours of our harbors.


Fun in Hampton Roads includes festivals.  Lots and lots of festivals.  We celebrate wine, beer, strawberries, seafood, patriotism and more.


If you’re willing to drive a little ways, Hampton Roads can be your jumping off point to a marvelous day trip or weekend getaway.  After all, we’re very close to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, the Blue Ridge Mountains, skiing, and the museums of Washington DC.
